Terms of Service

1. The service

Snap&Web2PDF (the "extension") is a Chrome extension that captures web pages as images or PDFs and converts images to PDF. It is operated by Bart Tools and provided free of charge.

2. Donations

You may optionally make a voluntary donation through an external service (Ko-fi). Donations are optional, all features are the same whether or not you donate, and donations do not unlock any features. Donation payments are handled by Ko-fi and its payment providers (such as PayPal) under their own terms and privacy policies.

3. Your responsibility

Captured content belongs to its owners. Only use or share captures as you are permitted to. The extension does not bypass access restrictions or protection measures.

4. Limitation of liability

The extension is provided "as is". Some pages may not be captured completely due to how they are built, so please check important results. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from its use.

5. Changes

Paid features may be added in the future; if so, these terms will be updated and announced in advance. Changes to free features are announced with updates.

Privacy Policy

1. No personal data collected

The extension does not collect or transmit any personal data — no names, emails, browsing history or captured content. It does not communicate with our servers and uses no ads, analytics or tracking.

2. Processed in your browser

Capturing, editing and image/PDF conversion all run inside your browser. Screenshots, the PDFs you create and the files you choose never leave your device.

3. Stored in your browser

• Settings (output format, paper, timer, …): Chrome extension storage
• Captures for the save panel: deleted when the panel closes (leftovers are removed after 2 hours)
• Collection captures and captions: kept until you remove them

This data stays in your browser and nobody, including the developer, can access it. Removing the extension removes everything.

4. Permissions

• activeTab, scripting: used only on the tab where you start a capture — to capture it, select an area and show the save panel
• storage: the settings above
• Access to all sites (optional): requested only the first time you use "All open tabs", and used only to capture the tabs in that window

5. Third parties

We don't sell or share any data. If you click the donation link, Ko-fi's website opens and its own policies apply there.
